Can you believe we are about to ring in the New Year! And with the New Year comes the ever classic New Year's Resolution. And although it might be cliche, the start of the year truly is a great time to make a few changes in your life.
As Southerndoes we want to be our strongest, happiest selves, so we are following these three Doe Do's starting January 1st!
1. Add exercise to your daily routine. We know, running on the treadmill sucks. And that’s why we don’t do it. You don’t have to be able to run a marathon to be healthy and active. Instead of spending hours at the gym we add simple activities to our day. Taking the stairs, parking at the back of the parking lot, going for a weekend hike. And if you do want to head to the gym, find an exercise you love! Taylor loves Pilates and Kristen loves yoga (she even yogas with her doggie Daisy!)
2. Meal Plan your way to healthy choices. We aren’t about dieting but, we are about taking care of our vessels. We take about 10 minutes at the start of the week to write out our meals. We browse Pinterest for healthy recipes and then make a grocery list. These few minutes will save you time during the week, you won’t have to spend forever figuring out what to make. And when you write out a grocery list, you’ll save money at the store too.
3. Take Risks for more Adventure. Now don’t just run to go cliff diving, but part of growing and becoming a stronger person involves taking some risks. Chat with the person sitting next to you at the coffee shop or go camping even though it's cold and you’d normally stay home. You can’t change if you don’t make changes!
