PLANTED: Austin, Texas

Hey fellow Southerndoes! I am 21 years old this March! I am Texas born and raised. I have a huge family that I love spending time with and have a wonderful boyfriend. His name is Kyler and we have almost been together two years now. I am currently in college and I work at a church daycare. I am a teacher to four and five-year-olds and I love it. Once I finish my basics at community college, I plan to transfer to Texas State college for Animal Biology. I have always had a large passion for animals. I am not a hundred percent sure as to what career I would like to pursue just yet, but I am leaning towards becoming a large animal veterinarian or an animal behaviorist. The options are endless! I know that whatever I do, I will enjoy it as long as I am outside and surrounded by animals and wildlife. Essentially, my family, my faith, love, and happiness are the things I value most in my life!

I started riding when I was around ten years old. The first time I ever rode a horse was at an overnight camp in Wimberley, Texas and since then I have loved it and have been naturally drawn to horses. I currently ride and spend my weekends at a family ranch called Flying S Ranch in Luling, Texas. At the ranch, we have a total of 22 loving animals. The animals consist of miniature horses, horses, cats, dogs, baby goats, chicks, and one little heifer that thinks she's a horse. I love being surrounded by wildlife and I am in love with the joy that horseback riding gives me. My boyfriend has a huge love for hunting so I am slowly being introduced into that world as well. Although it might take me a while to warm up to the idea of myself hunting, I am looking forward to the day I get my own bow. One day, I might even hunt from horseback. Every day of riding is a new adventure for me. I am determined to keep learning more and more to make myself a better horsewoman. It has impacted my life in such a positive therapeutic way. I couldn't imagine not having my peaceful trail rides through the woods. I consider the ranch my safe place and I'm so very thankful to share my life with the wonderful animals and people that I do.

I am definitely looking forward to the wonderful weather that spring will bring to Texas. I love being outdoors, so I get really excited when the bluebonnets and wildflowers start to bloom. I cannot wait to spend my spring days in the saddle just soaking up the sun. I love the cool evenings in spring when it's nice enough to sleep in the back of the truck and just look at the stars. My boyfriend Kyler and I also plan on visiting more state parks to go camping, fishing, and hiking at. I'm also super excited for the upcoming beach trip my family is planning to take to Port Aransas. And of course, I am super stoked for Southerndoe's new spring line. I already have a few products I've been eyeing. I can't wait for more sunny days!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SOUTHERNDOE PRODUCT?I have so many favorite Southerndoe products. It's so hard to choose. I love wearing my camo Southerndoe hat to the ranch, but the two products I live by the most are my "Keep your Soul Clean and your Boots Dirty" tee and my "Embrace Rocky Trails and Messy Hair" long sleeve. I love the Boots Dirty tee because it is an awesome motto. It reminds me to be classy and humble, to be the best Southerndoe I can be, and to just get out and play in the outdoors. I love the Embrace long sleeve t-shirt because it perfectly describes me as the messy cowgirl I am. This t-shirt is me because I hardly ever focus on doing my hair, I love riding, hiking, and going on adventures. I hope to see more cowgirls and horsewomen in Southerndoe because I know there are a lot of us gals out there! To me, the Southerndoe name speaks to me in a way that tells me to forget the material things and just enjoy myself and have fun! I am proud to be a Southerndoe.

Thank you so much Southerndoe for letting me be a part of the wonderful image y'all display. I love the message y'all send to us southern women as a reminder to stay strong and beautiful.
